"When I first did the Blenheim triathlon I clocked 14:57 for the 750n open water swim. Two years later I completed the same swim in 12:07 - nearly THREE minutes (or 20%) faster!

And this dramatic progress continued, seeing a NINE minute improvement (from 64 to 55 minutes) in my Great East Swim 2 mile time, after just one year at squad!

The only chance I get to swim is in Seamus’s sessions once a week, occasionally twice a week. So I'm delighted to make these dramatic gains, which just keep on coming!

It’s clear Seamus understands and cares about all his swimmers and really knows his stuff!

"I LOVE the Saturday morning Swim Smooth Suffolk squad. It is really helping me to improve my fitness, learn open water skills for my upcoming Great East Swim and work on my freestyle technique. Having had a video analysis session with Seamus this has further given me the knowledge of specifically what I need to do to improve my stroke."

I did the 5k at Swimathon 2019 - a distance that would have been inconceivable 2 years ago. For that I swam almost exactly 1hr 40min which I think is pretty respectable and particularly pleasing from a pacing standpoint, as I was being fairly conservative with a 2:00/100m pace.

For my (first) Ironman swim time, it ended up being 1hr 05min which is much faster than I thought I was capable of! At a stretch I thought 1:10 but was aiming for 1:15.

I completed the full distance in 10hrs 57mins, which I was ecstatic with - felt like all the training was justified.

So I'm loving my swimming now and I don't think I could have put those race results in without your coaching, so thanks very much.
