Ty competes for Team GB at World & Euro Sprint & Standard distance
We're really proud of Tylisha (Ty) Preston, Swim Smooth Suffolk squad member since day 1, who's been taking her triathlon to new heights. In 2019 she'll be competing at both ITU and ETU champs Standard distance, but already this year has excelled at July's ETU Standard Triathlon European Championships in Tartu, Estonia. Ty came 13th in her 30-34 age group - 11th of a super-strong GB team. This was a brilliant result, built on an amazing non-wetsuit (great natural body position) swim pace of 1:17/100m (21:51). Ty had recently had her 2nd video analysis with me, and obviously put this into practice, as this was nearly 10 sec/100m faster than her previous squad pace - as she said after the race "the squad sessions are really paying off!" After winning her regional Sprint age group series this weekend, Ty will be back in the fast lane next Saturday and can expect a big cheer from the whole squad - an inspiring, but still down-to-earth athlete, still very much on the up!
