Squads are back!

On Sat 15th Aug, after nearly 5 months off, Swim Smooth Suffolk Saturday squad got back up and swimming, with a great turnout of 28 keen and excited swimmers - and one equally keen and excited coach! Our new slot is actually better than before: 90 mins instead of 70, and starting at 0745 rather than 0730.

It was great to be back - the music played and most of the six lanes had 4 or 5 swimmers, so the old atmosphere was quick to return! We used fins and pull buoys but not hand paddles. The set was based around time rather than distance - kept nice and simple and relaxed. The main set was 6-9 x 100 off 2:00-2:30 turnaround times… lane six managed many of the 100’s at an impressive 1:25/100 while all lanes managed to keep to the finely judged ;) turnaround times.

All in all a great return to the pool :))) Mon (0630-0715) and Tuesdays (20:15-21:00) are back from 1st Sept - with use of the whole pool (6 lanes) - still places available!
