Beautiful Lake Bala
Lake Bala (Lyn Tegid) is Wales largest natural lake, located in Gwynedd on the edge of Snowdonia. My 2017 Ice Mile buddies Swim Your Swim organise a relaxed swim event there from Llangower station to Bala town, approx 3 miles (4.8k). I entered to reunite with SYS, visit friends and have a lovely swim in a new, yet iconic body of water. Bumping into fellow Swim Smooth coach Jason Tait, and several of his swimmers, was a bonus. A fresh 0730 Sunday start, light winds, hints of sunshine over the hills and clear 13Β° water. You know those swims when you know itβs going to be a good one from the first stroke - this was one of those, and 85mins flew past with great rhythm, trying a few technique variations, no stress, no traffic just hills and trees and clean water. First male to finish, with friends and my sis there to greet, just finished the morning off perfectly. As Leon of SYS said at the start - Seamus, just swim your swim - great advice for us all πββοΈππ π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ
