Swim Smooth bring a whole lotta swimming to Tri Show London!

I spent two top days at Tri Show London last weekend with Paul, Adam and many of our 38 certified coaches from around the world. Swim Smooth had its biggest and best ever presence at the show, with a 12x8m temporary pool (unheated, about 15C:) set up bang-centre of the hall at the massive ExCel centre in Docklands.

Swim Smooth was coaching, demonstrating (the guru in particular) and generally promoting swimming to a bustling and eager audience for 3 days. We had a fully-booked programme of 30 minute 1-2-1 coaching sessions in the pool. I was really pleased with rapid progress achieved by my 4 contrasting swimmers, videoing two of them underwater and then doing a rapid analysis via GoPro-iPad wi-fi on poolside - loved it!

It was also great to catch up with fellow certified coaches, like Gayle from Guildford, brilliantly recently certified, and great guy Filipe from Belgium, who I'd trained with in Perth exactly 2 years ago. There were valuable nuggets of coaching know-how from Morgan (Yorks) and also Lucy (Manchester) who I'd last chatted with at Dover town hall at the Channel Swimming Association annual dinner in November - Lucy's team picking up their trophy for fastest ever women's 3-way Channel crossing! And demonstrating Swim Smooth's growing international reach, coach Linda had flown in for the weekend from Palm Beach, Florida, just bursting with enthusiasm, experience and coaching vigour.

All-in-all, a super-positive and beneficial weekend, giving Swim Smooth Suffolk a real shot in the arm for even bigger and better things here in our coastal corner of the Swim Smooth world.
