Amazing experience at Ultraswim 33.3 Montenegro #16

Crystal clear 22° water alive with fish (but no jellies:), cloudless skies, light winds, top notch organisation and a community of committed & kind swimmers from all over the world - this was how I imagined Ultraswim would be, and that’s exactly how it unfolded, from 1-4 October in the majestic Bay of Kotor, Montenegro.

Our group of 7 swimmers & 3 non-swimmers joined 100 other open water lovers of all speeds to complete 33.3km (the English Channel distance) over 4 consecutive days - it was tough, swimming 4-11km each day, usually involving pre-dawn breakfasts and boat journeys to the starts - but it was all so worth it, for the companionship, challenge and huge sense of achievement.

So much more to say, but for now, a massive thanks & well done to Jenny, Vero, Adrian, Andrew, Colin, Dave & Shane - and not forgetting the loving support of Mary, Su & Jel - for taking the plunge with me in this bold new swimming experience - one I’m sure we’ll never forget! 🏊‍♂️🏊🏼‍♀️

I’m now looking ahead and the possibility of Milos, Greece, early June 2027 … interested…? Let me know… 😊🏊🏼‍♀️🏊‍♂️
